I am reading a book! Yes, it's true. I've decided to sneak a book in an hour a night before I go to bed.
I picked up Mr. Darcy, Vampyre by Amanda Grange yesterday at the bookstore because I am a Pride and Prejudice addict. I'm about four chapters in and I'm dying for Elizabeth to discover the truth about Darcy.

Ohhh i think that's a good idea to change your mind!
I was tempted to read Mr. Darcy, Vampyre too because i'm aslo a Jane Austen fan, but and what a twist to the story if Mr Darcy is a vampire! But i haven't succumbed to the temptation yet.

I'm reading the Nalini Singh books - i'm on book four and it SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!! The last book was MUCH MUCH MUCH better. I had a hard time putting that one down. I have to read it anyway because the backstory that continues throughout all the books is super interesting (yes I said super). I want to know who the Ghost is!! I'm dying to know!! I find the "romantic pairings" to get in the way of the good stuff!! lmao Oh, and thanks pattepoilue for reminding me about Grimspace - I want to get that one. Have to put it on the list. After I finish the Singh books then I have some Anne Stuart books to read. Just biding my time while I wait for Sept. 29th. Oh noooo don't you say that! I just finished reading book 3 LOLi haven't started book 4 yet of the Psy/changelings series! =P well i hope it's not that bad! I love Grimspace! I wasn't sure about it because well Science-fiction is not something i usually read about but it's very addictive ;D

Finished Bad Blood yesterday, and got through Key to Conflict by Talia Gryphon this morning. And since I got up late, it's thrown off my whole schedule so I am not hungry and instead going to go sit by the pool and start Burning Alive by Shannon K. Butcher. And after I finish this one, I will FINALLY be able to dig in to Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder!! WHEEE!! And then I need to come up with a long list and visit the library again. I just added The Picture of Dorian Gray to my 'to-read' list on Goodreads

Book four was a major let down because i didn't like the female lead, didn't care about her, thought she was annoying and I didn't feel the connection between the H/H. It was all telling and no showing. I was dissapointed in the lack of emotion coming from the book. I guess you could say it was a flat read. I felt nothing when I read it. I think the next one will be better. OOh, I am really interested in Grimspace now - I might skip my Anne Stuart and start on that one.

Finished reading Mr. Darcy, Vampyre. It was okay. A nice different writing style. My only complaint is that it took a little too long for Elizabeth to discover that he was a vampire. C'est la vie.
I now have Christine Feehan's Dark Slayer, which I am dying to read. I'm a fan of her Carpathian series and I've been looking forward to this book. Unfortunately, I'm under a complete time crunch so the book might have to wait a few weeks.

carnagsehls, let me know when you finish Night's Cold Kiss! I've been wanting to read that one for a few weeks now.
I finished two short stories by JD Robbs, and will finish Visions of Death sometime tonight, hopefully. And I finally got the call from the bookstore so I now am the proud owner of Fire Study, the third in the amazing Study series by Maria V. Snyder. I'm going to try and power through some more mysteries, though, before I get to Fire Study.
Do any of y'all have a Goodreads account? It's a really great way to keep track of what you have read, what you would like to read, and what you are currently reading. It also allows you to see the lists of your friends. It's a system that I've used for about a year now and it works really well.

I finished Night's Cold Kiss a few days ago. For a debut novel it really drags you in to the story. I am already about to die thinking of what is going to happen next. Also I think I am in love with Christian. He is so charmingly beautiful!!
