well, I work at a Borders and I do the receiving for my store, which means I open all the boxes and sort the new product ... if we'd gotten it, I'd have known it. there are other stores in the area, but they give shitty service, so I stick to mine. but it's ordered and should be on it's way soon and then I'll have it and I can (hopefully) savor it slowly and enjoy every drop.
so, you've got a stack growing for Nov??? Other than Prey and CoS, what's on it?

Re-reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. Like the notes in the Barnes & Noble Classics Series Susan Ostrov Weisser edition. Keep saying I need to go the way of Kindle because it would save a trip or the waiting on mail awful. My original copy has yellowed with time so I picked up new one. By time I get around to re-reading a 4th time this copy will probably yellow too Need to see if my library has Hidden Currents from Christine Feehan. Forgot to look in Walmart last time I was there.

I'm not familiar with Claudia Gray. What kind of books does she write?

if I remember correctly from the store, they're a YA series.... evernight? *scrolls up* yea, evernight ... bright red cover in the YA section ... think the second one is purple ... haven't read the back cover yet, or if I have, it wasn't very memorable. probably just haven't read it yet.

I've just become HOOKED on Maria V. Snyder's books. The problem for me is that I can't really put down a book as 'what i'm currently reading' because I will almost always read a book from cover to cover in one sitting. But right now I am trying to pace myself, and haven't yet allowed myself to start the second book in Maria V.S.'s "Study" series because I had to order the third from the store and if I don't have the third soon after I read the second, I think i might implode lol.
I just finished City of Souls by Vicki Pettersson. I think I am going to start Skin Deep by Mark Del Franco before I go to bed.

I have City of souls since it came out but i haven't read it yet. Maria V Snyder i've heard a lot about but never read any of her books.
I read several books at the same time , so i can pace myself and not read the book in one sitting. Some books i only read 5 chapters maximum at a time so i savour them. lol
I am reading : -Grimspace by Ann Aguirre -The Hollow by Jessica Verday (YA) -Unbound -Another Faust (YA) -Rereading Storm Born by Richelle Mead (so i can read Thorn Queen soon)
I have a hard time closing Grimspace, it's so good it's hard to read anything else at the same time lol

I'm kinda the same with the multiple books at one time ..... but it's harder when I'm not in the mood to read, so I'm reading bits and pieces of Unbound, which is actually working great for me cause all I fell like reading is little things. I've also got Speak of the Devil (I think that's the title ... the latest one from Jenna Black in her Devil series) and the Magicians that I've started and Sag Harbor waiting for me and a stack on top of my book case next to my bed mocking me. *sighs* need to read more soon ... maybe when I get another day off ...whenever that'll be.

I honestly can't understand reading multiple books at once unless I am reading something for class and then something else outside of class just for fun lol. I have to stick with one book until I finish it!
Just finished "Skin Deep" by Mark Del Franco, it was a great read. I think I'm going to go for "Bad Blood" by L.A. Banks next.
I love summer. It is literally the only time of year I get to read a book-a-day like I used to when I was a kid.

*shrugs* it's not so much fun when I'm just not reading anything and have to make myself sit down to read anything, but when I'm on a kick, I'll have a book that is at the bookstore that I'm reading on breaks, one in my bag that goes with me to the other job, and one at home that I'm reading.

Hmm, the only time I read more than one book is if I start a book and then find a book that is more interesting then I pick that one up and read that then go BACK to the other book. I do that alot. I don't think I've tried taking 5 books and reading a few pages out of each at a time. hmmm...interesting.
I'm reading the Nalini Singh books - i'm on book four and it SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!! The last book was MUCH MUCH MUCH better. I had a hard time putting that one down. I have to read it anyway because the backstory that continues throughout all the books is super interesting (yes I said super). I want to know who the Ghost is!! I'm dying to know!! I find the "romantic pairings" to get in the way of the good stuff!! lmao
Oh, and thanks pattepoilue for reminding me about Grimspace - I want to get that one. Have to put it on the list.
After I finish the Singh books then I have some Anne Stuart books to read.
Just biding my time while I wait for Sept. 29th.
