i just finished a strange book - Angels Blood by Nalini Singh. It's supposed to be a PR book - but it was...a wee bit strange. over all it was an interesting read - just NOT what I expected. There was also a lot of blood and gore. A big departure from her psy-changelings series. But her signature word still popped up..."nape"- god i hate that word. lmao
Then I read Ice Storm by Anne Stuart - that book ROCKED!! Better than the rest of the ice series.

Did you like it enough to read the following book? Oh, I was wondering when book two was coming out. I did like it well enough to get book 2. Well, let's just say once I started it even though it was bloody and gory it hooked me in! lmao. It was just not what I expected. It sort of reminded me of a bunch of different books melded into this one - a little bit of LKH's Anita Blake vampire hunter/Lillith Saintcrow's Dante Valentine Series - with a smidge of something else I couldn't put my finger on. I just started Grimspace today - wow - excellent book. I only put it down to go to the grocery store or check my email!

hehe i'm glad you liked Angels' blood i can't wait to start it, it's hard to resist and wait!! Did you see the cover for book 2? it's just gorgeous.
Grimspace got me 'WOOOOOW' now i have Wanderlust but i'm waiting for my copy of Doubleblind to be shipped to read them in a row too. lol Only 2 weeks left to wait!
I've been reading some Historical Romance because i needed to read something different for a while. Now i'm ready for Dawnbreaker....*grins*
I'm still facing a i-don't-know-which-book-to-read-first-from-my-TBR-pile dilemma.... ugh

Newfiewife, my initial reaction to Angels Blood was similar to yours. Not what I expected. But I am interested in Book 2.
I finally finished all the JD Robb books I took out from the library and got an email saying that My Soul to Take is on hold for me at the library. The day before I leave. *sigh* So I got up early to pack, and am hoping to manage to somehow read it today and return it this evening. I know I can do it- I hope I'll be able to enjoy it!

I think that's why i'm so broke - i hate borrowing books from the library! I hate giving a good book BACK! heh
I had no idea the next Sirantha Jax books were out - well, the second one is out and the 3rd comes out on sept 29th! woot! I was thinking I was going to have to wait. I hate waiting....
all these good books - awesome
i think i might have to take a reading break after this book though - my brain is turning to mush! I might have to watch hours of tv to numb my brain - lol!!

My Soul to Take was EXCELLENT!!! Tomorrow I make the long commute back to school and my free time dwindles. So sometime this week I am going to finally finish the Study series with "Fire Study"

Read Fire Study yesterday. It was pretty awesome- for some reason I felt it was a tad bit lacking, but that is very possibly due to how exhausted I was from driving 6 hrs to get back to school and unpacking and such. Next on my list? Why, Dawnbreaker of course I'm going to be hitting up the bookstores this weekend because some stores put out a book early.

Ok I totally lied. I received a copy of Sea Glass, the second book in the second series by Maria V. Snyder, in the mail yesterday and finished it this morning. It was excellent! I haven't really been this captivated by a complete fantasy series since Tamora Pierce. It's pretty amazing- if you haven't tried Maria V. Snyder's books, I suggest you start with Poison Study which is the first book in the first series.

Thanks for the recommendation FreedomStar, I just got the first three books from Maria v. Snyder.
I JUST finished Wanderlust by Ann Aquirre - OMG - that book totally rocked. WOW WOW WOW. I do have to thank pattepoilue for recommending those books. I tried reading it slowly - only a few hours a day - but I could NOT put it down. It's been a long time since I've read sci-fi. I really enjoyed it. Yay the third book comes out next week.

And today i got a mail from amazon telling me they would send Doubleblind early yay.... i've had a horrible day, that this might be the highlight of it.

There's so much going in the book - just one mess after another. the first book so many things happened that it was just crazy it all happened in a short period of time. Hmmm...now that I think of it, sort of like Nightwalker!! lmao
Now, I'm stuck as to what to read next...i'm still on the high from reading Wanderlust...argh - it's hard to dive in another book after that. poo.
