Just wow!As is super duper mega WOW!Mira kicked major butts is this book!will she be able to control other like she can Danaus and Jabari?will there be more devlpm't of her powers? I like Nick,he's not only ruthless,he gave mira powers that gives her an edge over the ancients..he also has a sick was of being a father..I wonder what his plans are,and i think its huge by the attention he's giving her.. I cried over tristan, even others dont like him.i like him,he was the brother mira didnt had the chance to have!and i really thought that he would have a chance tp kick butt at mira's side in the future using his powers. Macaire's suck a sick bast*rd!he deserved to die that way!Great job w/that scene ms Joce!1 of the best scenes in the book!i wonder what would happen now that Jabari's plan for mira to fet rid of macaire is done?now that stefan is now an elder i think he would stand w/ mira!i think he would yave difficulty, even mpre that mira could contol him!NiCE!

Thanks so much. I am so glad that you liked that book. I really enjoyed writing that one. It gave me a chance to give up some of my secrets.

Cont. That part where Rowe and Mira came to a temp truce was completely shocking! I never saw that one coming, at all. If Rowe wasn't a naturi and after Mira b/c of some sick and twisted since of loyalty to Aurora (who hates him b/c of his looks, now), I *might* feel sympathy for him. But, I hope Mira finally ends that SOB! As for Sophia, that evil *insert inappropriate word for a forum here* got what she deserved. I loved how Mira got her revenge on Sophia. I was so upset that there was even a doubt that Danaus wouldn't understand why Mira did what she did to Sophia. Mira should've realized that Danaus would likely see Sophia for what she was that night (of the attack...) since he can sense power levels, too. Just glad they (M&D) ended up OK afterwards. What a scene *that* make-up/realization of mutual attraction made. While Mira and Danaus' relationship was a very natural and believable progression through the books, I couldn't help but think "finally" when they got together. Now, hoping they can push through what we all know is coming in Burn the Night...and make it out alive and together....

I just finished reading it and all I can say is wow....I reread the ending like 4 times after I finished it....but I really found myself liking Valerio. he's pretty cool...question when she drank blood from a warlock she could stay awake during day but when she drank the blood from the witch Sofia nothing happened was the witch just not that powerful? but I love the addition of one of my favorite bad guys from comics I read it was an interesting twist.Loki he was in Thor's comic almost forever.but this book was awesome I love it from beginning to end, and hope one day we either meet their liege or find out he's dead I would love to know something about him, I was waiting the whole book for Tristan to die and finally at end didn't think he would , was hoping to see him use his powers more but oh well, great story and great characters

WOW! Loki God of Trickery? Well I figured creators of the Guardian races would be showing up but not quite like that! WOW again! Only thing is I notice is you seem to be going with a purely Evil Loki ,Traditionally he was more Chaos than Evil. The kind of Guy that would trap you in a blizzard with $1,000,000.00 in cash and book of matches and ask you to pick between being rich or freezing to death and after you started the fire and burned the cash he stop storm and reintroduce you to your mother you thought was dead who is a Forrest Fire Fighter who saw the smoke. Shame you lost 3 toes to to frost bite but you got your mother back and it left you wanting to kill the trickster and thank him.Its why he was loved in both cultures. (as long he was not messing with you, with one of his life lessons.) Thor traditionally Never Got Mad at his adopted Brother as he loved him above all even when Loki tricked him into thinking he was Pregnant and gave birth to a Red Squirrel so Loki Could sleep with Thor's Lady Sif. Thor would just say it was funny and loved the abuse. In a lot modern fiction that aspect seems to be often been forgotten. Loki woulds nearly alway leave Peoples lives much better off than when he first met and starts to abuse them. P.S. Even most Anthropologists agree that Loki was the North American Native American Trickster they just not shore how. Both Loki and North American Native American Trickster appear to be the same guy as they both turned into a Coyote (Vikings claimed he turned into a Very Small red wolf that never ran in a pack) And wear well loved by there/his people(s) despite them selfs and there practical Jokes and evil schemes as they normally give life lessons. On the strange side there's more people alive today who worship Loki than were 2000 years ago. So if Loki's power is in trouble it would not be lack of followers and true believers.(Asatru) www.northvegr.org/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Rud_Millschurchofthor.org/renaissancekingdoms.wikia.com/wiki/Pagan_Religionodinstribe.tribe.net/thread/e5563659-be33-4c5b-8823-916e01656f85Some these people are very nice but they will die happily for there gods so it'd not a joke and you find lot Native Americans not only believe in the Trickster (they think there Trickster is Loki as well) but many Native Americans and Asatru claim to have met him in the very real Solid flesh. There a lot of anger over stupid stuff between the two groups Native American and Asatru and both sides blame Loki divine intervention! The popular belief is that both groups were to peaceful and getting along to well so Loki decided to be Loki. LOL PPS You do know realize this means Mira is both sister to a 8 legged Horse and a Giant Serpent. LOL

The idea that I tried to convey was not so much that her father was Loki, but that all the gods around the world were essentially one and the same. Her father is simply the god of chaos. That's why he gives himself so many names. As to why he's lost most of his powers... well, that's coming in book 6, hopefully.
And yes, Mira has some interesting distant relatives.

I love love love Wait for Dusk!!!! Mira and Danaus were outstanding! I nearly wish I can squash Danaus's head when he left Mira!!! Tristan... Oh poor Tristan... he is so broken!! True to what Jocelynn said.. I cried hard at the ending.
My only complain? I want to see more of Mira and Danaus's affection for each other. Please let Mira rest a bit and get her much deserved love!

I know everyone is hyped up on how awesome Valerio was or the new powers Mira got and her mysterious father but I was just wondering are we going to hear anything new from Danaus or about his powers (any new ones) or his heritage because I really liked Gaizka and I found that Danaus being the only bori left was interesting and was hoping you would elaborate on that more. You know how when Nick came back Mira received all these new powers I thought the same thing would happen when Gaizka came back for Danaus. Who would win in a fight Nick or Gaizka?
Anyway Great Series by the way ! And you don't know how much I hope it does not end ;D

If Gaizka came back for Danaus there is a simply way to protect the earth and all it's people that would not mean killing Danaus. But he would not be happy with it. Instead of Mira turning Human (or is that Demigod ,Goddess) Mira could Turn Danaus into a true Night Walker(first blood not chum) it would make him Useless as a Normal Avatar as Gaizka dose not seem to be able to Use a Vampire as a permanent Host Any more than a Human. So if he became a Vampire strangely it would save his soul and Break his Link to the Bori.As they seem to need a Living altered Human Host. This is just a Guess.

Danaus wouldn't want to become a vampire, drink from people, follow their unfair rules, and be helpless during the day even if it did save his soul. And technically he would not have a soul if he became a vampire.

Since Danaus is over 1000 years old if he was turned vampire would he already be a powerful ancient or do you only count the years you have been alive as a vampire ? ?

Danaus would be starting from scratch. He would be a newborn vampire and all those human years would mean nothing.

The book was totally amazing!!!!! Definately my favorite of the series!!!!! I am sad that Tristan died, but when I read the book I had been too mad at Macaire to cry. I wanted Macaire DEAD. But I really loved Valerio from the short time we met him in Dayhunter and now I love him more!!!! He is now my favorite not-main character!!!!!! I don't know what to say about Nick besides the fact that Mira needs to find out a way to kill him. Or lock him up??? I am ecstatic that Mira can control Jabari!!!! He needed to get off his high horse, and Mira went and PUSHED that jerk OFF!!!!
