I've just finished Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series. Excellent! I'm just wondering how much longer she can keep up the storyline. She's running out of warriors!

I just finished Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake series! Well, except for the one that came out this week! This is a great, humorous series! I really enjoyed it!

I do love the Love at Stake series, but I've not read them all yet. I can't wait to get my hands on the new one.
At the moment, I'm reading some regency romances by Loretta Chase and enjoying the brief break from the paranormal world.... though I do miss my vampires.

I've just finished reading Karen Marie Moning "Fever Series". Have to say that I was stunned. Not your typical endings and they still suck you in. Waiting for the last book to come out in paperback

I have shifted gears back into the paranormal as I have a book to read for potential blurbing.

Wow, I didn't know that you wrote blurbs. I thought the publishers did that. I like the idea that authors write them. They understand the process and as they have that creative imagination can write blurbs that a reader can appreciate; the balance of a storyline with hints of the plots to suck the reader in. Have you wrote many blurbs?

I think you're mistaking blurbs for backcover copy -- which I don't write. That is my publisher.
I was talking about the author endorsements that you see on the cover and on the inside of the book.
I have written endorsements for Under Wraps by Hannah Jayne and another one for Avon, but I am totally blanking on the book title... but it was by Karina Cooper.

*comes back from the dead* just a random side note, moving SUCKS while working two jobs.
anyway, read The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong this week. Amazing. I love that you really don't need to read the adult series to understand the YA stuff, and that you don't have to read each trilogy to understand the other, but if you do, there are little bits that you pick up as being a reference to other stuff. and the story is just simply amazing. Don't really want to talk about it, cause I'd get into spoilers real quick.
Not sure what's up next as all my books are still in boxes that I need to go through and see what's staying (most of my regular books) and what's going (most of my manga).

I have been doing a lot of re-reading recently b/c I haven't had the time to shop for books. I'm reading lots of light to semi-light paranormal romances in an effort to keep my mood light while I work on my book. Recent reads include: Eat Prey Love -- Kerrelyn Sparks The Undead Next Door -- K. Sparks How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire -- K. Sparks Vampire Interrupted -- Lynsay Sands Bite Me If You Can -- Lynsay Sands (really looking forward to Reluctant Vampire. I read a large sample today and it looks fun. It releases next week. tinyurl.com/3bt935q ) Sins of the Heart -- Eve Silver I noticed that my library is a lot of serious, hard core urban fantasy and right now I'm in the mood for lighter stuff.

Jocelynn, I'm so glad you liked Lynsay's books! I practically have her Argeneau's memorized! I am also looking forward to the new one next week! I recently read the entire Kerrelyn Sparks series and absolutely loved them. Her latest, Vampire Mine, is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time! You should give it a try if you're looking for something light!
I'm currently finishing Chloe Neill's latest book, Hard Bitten, and I am really enjoying it. I've heard that I won't like the ending, so I'm trying to take my time, but once I start I can't stop until I finish!
Next on my plate, after Lynsay, is Rachel Vincents Breed Series. I've heard good things but haven't started them yet. We'll see!

Most recent book I read was Feed by Mira Grant. I'm following the author on LJ and she's been posting little 500-100 word stories that lead up to the zombie apocalypse. The book actually takes place about 25 years later. But the story telling is absolutely amazing and the characters are love. Well, except for the ones I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to like, and those ones you don't like at all. Some amazing twists and plot. Some serious keyboard smash moments. The second book in the Newsflesh trilogy, Deadline, comes out Tuesday, and I'm majorly stoked.

Any suggestions similar to Sparks and Sands? I've tried Katie MacKalister's vampire books and enjoyed them, but sometimes some of the of the language is a little too ... relaxed for my current mood. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy her books, but just looking for something closer to Sparks and Sands at the moment.
