Ahhh The Magic series is ranking very high on my list of favorite series ever. SO much fun. Chloe Neill and Gail Carriger are also on my auto-buy list of authors. =)

Whenever I get to start reading again, the top series that I plan catching up on are:
1. Rachel Vincent's Shifters 2. Vicki Pettersson's Zodiac series 3. Kim Harrison's Hollows 4. Jim Butcher's Dresden 5. Simon Green's Nightside 6. Raymond Feist's Midkemia books
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

so many wonderful books and so little time. My agent has promised to send me a stack of books to read during the next month. Mostly historical romance. My brain needs a rest from vampires.

Jocelynn, If you like Historical Romance, you should check out Lynsay Sands. She has quite a few. Her recently released Highland series (Devil of the Highlands, Taming the Highland Bride and The Hellion and the Highlander) are incredible. ;D

I've read some Lynsay Sands in the past and loved it. I haven't tried the Highland series yet. Thanks for the suggestion.

I love to read series vs. stand alone books, and I really like to latch on to one that's well established so I can zip through the books one after the other. When I have to wait a year between books, I have a hard time remembering whose on first.
These are all the series I read and there is something about each of them that keeps me coming back for more, or really regretting their end. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd have to give a slight edge to Jim Butcher. There is just something really special about Harry Dresden for me.
In alpha order, by author:
Glory St. Claire - Gerry Bartlett Dresden Files - Jim Butcher Weather Wardens & Outcast Season - Rachel Caine Kay Scarpetta - Patricia Cornwell Queen Betsy - MaryJanice Davidson Dark Days - Bunny Rabbit Stephanie Plum - Janet Evanovich Night Huntress - Jeaniene Frost Kinsey Millhone Alphabet Series - Sue Grafton Garnet Lacey (series ended at 5 books) - Tate Hallaway Anita Blake & Mery Gentry - Laurell Hamilton Sookie Stackhouse & Harper Connelly - Charlaine Harris Rachel Morgan & Madison Avery - Kim Harrison (I found out about Nightwalker from Kim's website) Kate Holly - Charlotte Hughes Kate Connor - Julie Kenner Immortality Bites (ended at 5 books), Demon Princess, & Living in Eden - Michelle Rowen Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling Argeneau Vampires - Lynsay Sands
Just started reading: Immortally Sexy - Stephanie Rowe
On deck: Bloodhound Files - D. D. Barant Vampire Files - P. N. Elrod Sisterhood - Fern Michaels Chicagoland Vampires - Chloe Neill Eve Dallas - J. D. Robb

These are in no particular order, I just have to read them the day they come out, and then I can't get them out of my head for weeks, until I devour another series.
Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series (I want to see Rachel and Trent together sooooo bad)
Karen Moening's Fever series. Her books make me want to put my head through a wall when they end, and then cry because it will be a whole year before I can find out what happens. I think I might die waiting until December when the next one is due. She's torturing the crap out of me right now.
Charlaine Harris's two series.
J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood and her Fallen angels series. I recently found her, read all the books backwards, enjoyed them so much, I started over at the beginning and read them in the correct order. They made a lot more sense the second time, lol.
Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series.
I am a HUGE Dresden files fan. Harry Dresden is one of my favorite characters out of all the series that I follow. I love Jim Butcher, and recently read his wife Shannon Butcher's Sentinals series and liked it too.
And of course, Jocelynn Drake, but I guess that goes without saying seeing as how I wound up here, lol.
Some other Series books that some of you might like that aren't really in this genre, but are authors that I absolutely MUST have every book they put out the day it hits the shelves:
Lee Child's Jack Reacher series. Stephen King gave him a great big nod in his book Under the Dome. I got a kick out of it.
Janet Evanovich. How can you NOT like Stephanie Plum??
Karin Slaughter's Grant County series which recently merged with the Will Trent series.
James Lee Burke. Anything by him. He has a new Dave Robicheaux novel out that I have got to get my hands on. He writes beautifully.
I have a book a day habit. It's pretty bad, lol. the people in Books A Million know me by name now that I work directly across the street from them.
Thanks for everyone else listing their faves. I see a few on here I haven't tried yet, and since most of my favorite authors don't have anything due out until either the end of the year or next spring, I am getting desperate for new materials.

Hmm, fave series. There are quite a few, and it seems that tastes on here are very similar. So, here's my list (no particular order ) Dark Days series...pretty sure we all know who writes this ha ha Night Huntress (Cat and Bones and NH World) by Jeaniene Frost Shifters by Rachel Vincent Rachel Morgan by Kim Harrison Morgan Kingsley series by Jenna Black Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson Vampire Academy and Succubus series by Richelle Mead Harry Potter For those of you who've read and liked VA by Richelle, I highly recommend her succubus series. Her writing style doesn't really change, but it is an adult series... Also, how can you not like an angel who drinks, smokes and curses?

So, got to see 2 great authors and got hooked on Dark Days after that signing .

For those of you who've read and liked VA by Richelle, I highly recommend her succubus series. Her writing style doesn't really change, but it is an adult series... Also, how can you not like an angel who drinks, smokes and curses? And burns down a Christmas tree!!! Which is just too funny. But I agree, if anyone likes her Vampire Academy series, both her adult series are just as good, but it works in reverse as well. If you've tried the adult books, then VA should be a must read as well, despite it being YA, cause it's dark and gritty. And basically just less sex than the adult ones!

my new favorite series: The Chess Putnam series by Stacia Kane. It's a Dark Urban Fantasy.. love love it!! I think I missed out this series as well: The October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.. I'm not much a fan for the faes.. but the world she build is pretty amazing and interesting. The latest book "An Artificial Night" actually is the best amount the other 2, in my opinion!
