The giraffes didn't actually go anywhere. Realizing one day that they stood out from the background of the savannah and made themselves a bigger targer, they changed from yellow and brown to all brown so that they now look like giant trees standing on the open field. They're not gone, they've just learned to blend.

Been absolutely swamped with stuff to do, and my list is not getting any shorter. >.< Here is a new question!
We all make New Year's resolutions! We're halfway through the year; how well have you stuck with your resolutions?
My one real resolution was to start exercising regularly and manage my time better. Time management has gotten loads better. Exercising has hit a couple of bumps in the road, first with falling off the horse in february and then needing emotional healing after putting my horse to sleep, and then the stupid tendonitis! >.< But summer has so far been good to my schedule- i've gone to the gym or done some form of actual exercise almost every single day this week! I'm quite proud of myself and am hoping that I can keep it up throughout the summer.

Is it sad that I can't remember if I made one this year? Maybe I didn't and I'm off the hook.

then you and I are both sad cause I almost couldn't remember and then I decided to fall back on last year's failed resolution to be better with my finances ... so I cheated *Laughs*

Rolf you guys crack me up!
Here's a simple one since my friends and I talked about this yesterday. Tea or coffee?
I'm both, but in the summer I prefer iced tea to iced coffee.

I adore coffee but it hates me ... more than one cup and it fucks with my stomach. so by force of stomach, I usually drink tea more often. but Chai tea with cold milk is fucking amazing

Iced tea. Though I love coffee, I can drink gallons of iced tea.

Good lord you guys answer these questions so fast sometimes! Okay, this is for AFTER you read Pray For Dawn. I want you to estimate about how long it took you to read the book. For our favorite author...how long did it take you to write Pray For Dawn? ETA: I just finished reading it. Read it all in one sitting, 3.5 hours. That was INTENSE.

Holy CRAP! 3.5 hours. That was between 3 -4 solid months of work.

Lol, I actually had the time to sit and read it through in one sitting instead of stopping to go do something, or having to keep a lunch appointment or something. I started it at 9 p.m. and read straight through until half after midnight. I was surprised myself- I read fast but that was almost abnormal!

I was able to read the e-galley of the book in about 4 hours, too. I always read very quickly. I really shouldn't let myself do that, because it makes the wait for the next book that much more difficult!

I'm going to try to stretch it out and read it over a long period .... or maybe I'll just stash it somewhere and read it all in one go at the end of the month. maybe make myself hit my monthly goal and then let myself read it.
