Hey JD,
Have just been reading your workload in the novella thread and was blown away. What does your working day consist of? Do you stay chained to your PC all day or do you write notes?

My work days have been a little broken lately, but I'll take some of my typical work days when I was deep in book writing as an example.
I get up in the morning and spend about an hour going over emails, social networks, and just general news to see what's going on in the world. This is my way of easing into the day and seeing if there is anything extremely important that needs to be taken care of before start writing.
From there, I start writing. I usually have something specific in mind. Since I have all my stories plotted out ahead of starting to write them, I know what I'm going to be working on each day. Before I start writing, I have a set word count or goal in mind. I just write until I get that done, regardless of whether it takes three hours or 12 hours.
Throughout the day, I work in social media, interviews, and other random upkeep things.
When I'm deep in a book, approaching a deadline, the days can be very long. The early days of a book aren't typically as long.
