Nyx POV

So how did everyone like the Nyx POV?
Personnally I thought it was great. Nyx seemed to be a character much like Mira, different from birth, always outside the "normal" circle of their people.
I see a cool potential for a Nyx-Rowe book. (actually I saw many options for side books! woohoo!)

It was good but because of my loyalty to Mira, it wasn't as good as Mira. However, I just feel a bit weird about reading her suddenly instead of someone commonly known in the previous books. But hey, that book was totally great! No complains! =)

It was different switching but thank you JD for telling us who it was in the first few words. Much easier!

Nyx POV

No problem. With both side being told from first person POV, I had to make sure that you knew right away when I changed storytellers.
Nyx was important to me because I needed to tell some of the behind-the-scenes details for the naturi people and their politics. I just couldn't believably tell it from Mira's POV. And Rowe just wasn't a sympathetic character. It was easier to get the reader to feel sympathy for Rowe when viewed through Nyx's eyes rather than spend an entire book trying to prove he was an okay guy from his own pov.

I reallly did feel for him! Nyx too. I enjoyed their interactions and Rowe's total sarcastic attitude and dark sense of humor. I agree, we probably wouldn't have seen that through Mira's hatred of him.

I thought the part with Nyx's POV was amazing. I loved, loved it Ms. Drake. Nyx is really different and I loved how she kicked butt. I hope you plan on doing more stories about her because I am sure you will have a huge fan base, I would be your first. Because you didn't try to do a POV from Rowe's point of view it was so much better. I loved Rowe after his interactions with Nyx, I saw him as someone to actually admire. LVOed Nyx so much though.

Assuming that you've read the last book:
Do you think Nyx and Rowe could live happily ever after? I mean, these are two characters that were matched together in a book, but you've not seen them develop together over several books like Mira and Danaus. Can they make it or is just something that happened in the heat of moment? Could Rowe come between Nyx and Cynnia? Could Rowe lure Nyx to turn against Cynnia? Would he?

It was strange to start the book in someone else's POV. At first I was a bit confused, but you quickly cleared up who the new voice was.
I always liked Rowe. I did not need Nyx to understand his dedication and sacrifice, but her perspective did make him that much more likable if only because it gave him more depth; something beyond the devious, harsh and duty bound mindset. Her POV gave him a soft, somewhat vulnerable side. Here is a man who has spent centuries separated from his people, focused only on his duty to them and finally we get to see how he feels at their betrayal and belittling of his sacrifices. I think Nyx made Rowe acknowledge that he felt betrayed and that and their past camaraderie just pushed Rowe to the next level for me. Seeing their past together through her eyes was great. I agree that I could see them having their own book or series. I don't think their romance was only an "in the heat of the moment" thing for either of them. Definitely not for Nyx though being the warrior that she is, she could deal with it if that had been the situation. I think Rowe finally felt that one way or another he had accomplished his goal. His people were freed and now he found himself an outcast and he much like Danaus found a much needed and welcomed place of repose in Nyx's arms. I think she was more his type anyway. Aurora, despite being queen, was weak.
I don't think Rowe could ever turn Nyx against Cyn. She is not the type to be manipulated. I don't think Rowe would bother trying. Plus, the poor guy needs a break. He has been fighting for centuries, why give himself a headache by trying to go for the throne again.
