That is a question that I am currently avoiding like the plagues because I honestly don't know the answer. I have been contracted for six books. Book sales determine whether there will be more.
Thanks!

Well if I have a vote I think just a few more than The Destroyer, Remo Williams series.
Lol Dark Days Books have that The Destroyer Series feel to them any way. It's got the closest feel.
See how many those there are I love em.
I believe The Destroyer on book 129 Father to Son and still going Very Strong.
A series is only limited by the Author and I do not believe you to have limits Jocelynn Drake.
P.S. It's a silly idea(an excuse by limited Writers) to put a fixed limit on book series if it's continue to be bought it is good and should continue to be written. P.P.S. Jocelynn Drake I love your Books they have a Legendary Mythic feel and a Pulp Magic to them. So hope I you do not mind me comparing them to Remo Williams.

Thanks so much. I wish Dark Days could go a little longer, but I think we have reached an end. That's just how it works sometimes. I have some small regrets, but I can walk away feeling good about where I am leaving things. I am trying very hard for something that resembles a "happily ever after". There are some characters in particular that deserve it. But for now, the focus is on WAIT FOR DUSK and it's upcoming release. We will look ahead when it's time.

Are you saying that WAIT FOR DUSK is the last book in the series? Please tell me I read that wrong!

Are you saying that WAIT FOR DUSK is the last book in the series? Please tell me I read that wrong! I'm pretty sure she means six books total, since I remember reading she'd already finished writing the sixth or something to that effect. I always have mixed feelings on really, really long series. It's nice to have lots to read, but sometimes it just gets bogged down and loses its spark. So with that in mind, I've been really enjoying the series so far and hope it goes as long as you need to in order to have a satisfying story and resolution, whether that's six books or sixty.

I wasnt sure where to ask this question since I am terrible with message boards, but its driving me nuts. Can you do anything about book stores who dont have your books available when they are supposed to? That sounds stupid, and I know its obviously not your call, and that shippings is a factor and yada yada yada, but Wait for Dusk came out on the 27th and the ONLY book store in town STILL doesnt have it in!!!!! I cant help with first week sales, if I cant buy the stinkin book! Made me mad are your behalf

**hugs darkdayslover** I doubt Jocelynn can interfere on this because it's basically the call of the bookstore.. (i might be wrong) Have you try asking the bookstores why they don't have it available? Maybe there's a delay from the publisher? If it makes you feel better, I don't have "Wait for Dusk" too.. am patiently waiting for my copy to be mail to me..

There's nothing I can do about the bookstores. Sometimes pre-ordering with them helps. This is something that I have been very frustrated over myself, but there is nothing that I can do.

Thank you~ I know it was a stupid question, but as a NYT best selling author, they are SO short changing you here!!!! ARGH! I will always go out on a release day and get a book because I want to support a great author, and Im so frustrated with this stupid Borders here lol. Im going to just have to drive an hour away to find it in the B&N.
And WOW~ I totally never expected you (Jocelyn) to actually answer me!!! Thats so cool!!! *G* LOOOVE your books!!!! You are up there with Karen Marie Moning, and Kim Harrison in my favorite author category! THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for putting me in such illustrious company. I try to comment as much as possible on the board, but sometimes I simply have to keep my mouth shut.

This may have been asked already, but I sadly don't know when I'll get a chance to scour the boards for the answer.. I see that there is at least one more book, Burn the Night... Is there any kind of ETA on when a release date may be (i.e. Fall, 2011, 2012, etc)?
I've gotten spoiled with being relatively new to the series and the last 2 books coming out within a month of each other LOL. ;D

I don't have the date yet, but I expect it will be sometime during the Summer 2011. I am going to be starting the revisions this week.
