Just finished it! WOOHOO!!!
Hot damn, it was nonstop action from the very first page to the last!
Thoughts? I'm so glad that she used the Pandora Charm. And I love that they went riding together at the end- that was pretty awesome.
I'm still fresh off of the book so I'm not really making much sense here lol, but yay I definitely enjoyed it! I wish we had more Trent though, I absolutely love Trent.

*starts bawling again* poor Mattie ... POOR JENKS... but OMG ... that scene with Pierce ...yum. *flails* I absolutely LOVED them hunting Jon down at the end ... that was fucking epic.
this is just from what I remember ... I'll throw out more when I reread it here again

Oh gosh yes, I can completely empathize with Jenks right now. I really loved Matalina, she was always so sweet and she mothered Rachel every now and then which tickled me pink.
I'm still not sure I trust Pierce, though lol!

I didn't really like Rachel getting with Pierce. I mean, I like the guy, but it just seems like he's constantly trying to control her.
I admit it. I cried. I bawled like a baby.
I'm not quite done yet, but Rachel stoned was amazing and so was the 'elfen porn' *grin*

Okay, I finally finished the book last night. I was out all weekend, and even though I took the book I couldn't hide and read.
I LOVED IT. I cannot believe I cried. I knew it was going to be matalina - I KNEW IT! I didn't know how they would kill her off, but i new she was going to die. OMG - I was sitting in the car as we drove sobbing like a baby. UGH! I kept saying.."don't cry, don't cry, don't cry", but as soon as she died and Jenx was....oooh, man, it was awful. I loved how Rachel went small to bring Jenx back.
I don't really like Pierce either. Is that who Rachel will end up with? I don't know why, but I just find him...not very trust worthy. I guess everyone in the books have ulterior motives that I can't outright trust anyone. Pierce doesn't (for me anyway) have much chemistry with Rachel. I feel like their "romance" was forced? Is that just me? I find that she has more chemistry with Al than pierce. Could be just me....
I'm curiuos - did Nick really betray Rachel - I mean, what the HELL was going on there? He felt bad when he found out he was bugged, like his "plan" or whatever it was, wasn't what it seemed. He seemed really upset that Rachel had heard everything he said. I'm just confused. It doesn't seem black/white that he's evil and must be taken by AL. Now, if he is really the low down dog he seems, then I hope Al takes him and gets a room back!
OH, and WTH? Al made grilled cheese. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Al in this book. He is in the top 4 of my favorite characters. I loved the little chat, I loved how he was so NICE to rachel. I loved the good cop/bad cop with Nick - I loved it.
I was so glad I got to take my time reading it. It was worth savorying. I hate that I have to wait a FREAKIN' year until the next one.
Rachel and Trent at the end....aww - becoming "business partners". It was SO romantic. Okay, not really, but I loved it.

Rachel and Trent are probably my absolute FAVORITE dysfunctional relationship, so to speak. Alongside Mira and Danaus, of course

*snorts* at least Mira and Danaus accept working together. Rachel won't even admit to working for Trent half the time. she puts up such a fight about it. It makes me laugh every time she's trying to deny working for Trent and then has to add that she just takes his money from time to time to do things for him, like keep him alive.

so someone else on another forum I'm on brought up a good question and I thought I'd transplant it here.
in the beginning, Rachel was very conscious of smut on the aura and talking about how easy it was for ley line witches to go black cause the cost isn't exactly immediate and the smut can be fostered off onto someone else. and how it was really easy to explain away using black charms for this or that. but now, she's almost (not quite) using them left and right and explaining the demon curses away as being for the good of the people around her. so do you guys think Rachel is turning into someone she would have tagged herself when she was with the IS, or what?
(also, I'm half evil .... mwhahahahhaha .... look at my number of posts *points to the left side bar*)

carnagsehls yes i do believe she is exactly what she would have tagged as an is agent. she mentioned in one of er earlier books that most of the black witches she tagged were witches that started doing small amounts of black magic and got comfortable using it. rachel has now went to the point of using black spells instead of earth charms in some situations when she finds them easier to do.
ok i will say I DO NOT LIKE RACHEL AND PIERCE TOGETHER! i will also say I DO NOT LIKE GLEN AND IVY TOGETHER! i am so caught up in the love that rachel and ivy share for each other it sucks to see either of them with anyone else. the only people i could stand to see the other with would be rachel with trent and ivy with rynn so the pure jealousy of them puts them together.
