I've done that with both Harrison and Laurell K Hamilton. You should have seen my poor Husband as box after box came when I found each book on ebay and others. "So you're buying books that you already have becuase you want the hardbacks? Why?" "~~~~bats eyelashes~~~ Because I want them.~~~~~" "Uh ok" He's learned to smile and nod very well by now!!! ;D

I finished Pale Demon last night. While I liked the book, I can't say that I have the same feeling for the series as I had when I first started reading it. Maybe I'm just being silly, but I started losing interest when Kim killed off Kisten. I keep reading the books hoping that Kim finds a HEA for Rachel that's as perfect for her as Kisten was. The more I read of the series, the more convinced I become that Rachel should not end up with Ivy. They work better as friends and partners. A love relationship with them would break their individual spirits irreparably. I was never a fan of Pierce and his presence in Pale Demon did nothing to change my mind. Trent, on the other hand, really set my mind to rest on my opinion of him -- He is nothing more than spoiled, entitled rich kid. He has no concept of consequences or the repercussions of his actions. He seriously needs to GROW UP! As for Al, well, while definitely not a romantic interest for Rachel, I definitely gained some grudging respect for him in this book. I still, however, do not trust him or his motives.

I AM SO BEHIND ON THE HOLLOWS BOOKS. I am good friends with Kim and I feel like I should be hanging my head in shame.... Bad Jocelynn! Bad Jocelynn!
I have all the books, but I stopped reading when I got engulfed in my own books. After Vicki's series, I may try to get caught up on Kim's series. I want to be caught up before she reaches the end of the series.

I love her books and so far love everyone she recommends to read either in her web site or her name on the cover of someone else's book....honestly thats how I started reading Dark Days, and have not even been close to being disappointed . Kim's last book wasn't as good as her others but i still enjoyed it, and have read it twice allready, and hope I can still read new stories forever. I love that you acknowledge her and other authors in you forum, and hope you get the chance to catch up on her books, as well as writing your own

I still haven't read Pale Demon yet, still waiting for the paperback. I know, I know, as suggested to me previously, buy hardback, sell and then get paperback. I know myself too well, would start something my hubby would not be impressed about. hehe. But my friend and I have been trying to work out who Rachel will end up with. I agree with some of what susan60625 said: Maybe I'm just being silly, but I started losing interest when Kim killed off Kisten. I keep reading the books hoping that Kim finds a HEA for Rachel that's as perfect for her as Kisten was. The more I read of the series, the more convinced I become that Rachel should not end up with Ivy. They work better as friends and partners. He seriously needs to GROW UP! As for Al, well, while definitely not a romantic interest for Rachel, I definitely gained some grudging respect for him in this book. I still, however, do not trust him or his motives. I cried when Kisten was killed. He was so good for Rachel, but I don't think it would of been HEA for them. He was such a good character. Definitely agree about Ivy. I think that the least likely candidate will be the winner. The so ridiculous that its a possibility - Al. Why not, they could have baby demons together. If not a forever thing, maybe a OMG! I must of been drunk to do that moment. ;D And Ta da, baby. giggle Pierce is an in-betweener. My friend thinks Rachel will end up with Trent. Ha. If it happens it will be more of a "drunk again, I think I should stop drinking" moment.

Good News for all of Kim's fans! I saw an article today on the internet that said that the CW network has purchased a project called "The Hollows" based on the books by Kim Harrison. On her blog site, Kim isn't denying it and admits that she has some "splaining to do!" I can't wait to see where this goes!!!!! Yay Kim!

I've finally landed a copy of The Hollows Insider. All I have to say is this: If you're a fan (and you know you are) then put this on your Christmas wish list asap. It is so darn cool!
