i like tristan honestly, but it's because i am an underdog fan. he has been outnumbered by vamps in one book and weres in another book, but yet he seems to just make it through. he's classed as a weak character, but always makes it. he is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters due to that fact. he's not a badass and not cocky, but he has miras back and is a great friend to her. yeah, and that's why I don't like him. I am not a fan of "weak" characters. I can conceed that he has survived many situations like Sadira, and the were's and the naturi. I just don't know if he could be called a "survivor" though, more like very LUCKY. Personally, I don't like when characters need protection and he needs to belong to a family to be protected - so he's weak in my mind and I can't stomach it. Now if he decided to stand on his own two feet and made his way into the world W/O Mira then yeah, he might become interesting. I can handle that. I have been known to change my mind on characters - like Rowe - he became very interesting in book 3. I'm look forward to seeing what happens with Rowe.

I think that's maybe my problem with him in this book. I liked him in the first two. In this one, though, he just seemed a bit pathetic. And he got attached to (oh, this is bad, I can't remember her name) Amanda, was it?, very quickly. He just seemed... well, not such an interesting character in this one. I think he should have been learning to be a bit stronger. I know he's had a lot of time with Sadira for everything to be fixed in two months, but two months with Mira is still a long time.

but the thing is in 2 months he has gotten stronger he just still has that fragile mindset. i don't believe 2 months ago with sadira he could have handled what he has up til this point. don't forget she tried to keep him weak to keep him from getting away from her like mira did. my question is if there is something about him sadira knew he possessed that would make him strong enough to get away from her.

A naturi, a bori, a nightwalker, and a witch walk into a bar... I absolutely love how Mira just attracted almost everybody and their mama's to her. It seems like everyone is skipping over the little naturi Cynnia. I actually found her character a bit interesting more so at the end of the book though when her personality took almost a heel face turn. I don't trust her yet myself but I wonder what she really wants. Who knows, maybe her and Nyx have been wanting to kill Aurora all this time and she needs the nightwalker to do so. That girl could end up more evil than her sister. I was also very pleased to see Knox in this book more. After reading the little short about Mira in Unbound, I was hoping to see more Knox. I really like his character. Something about his personality and humor makes me smile. I like vampires more than werewolves but the lycans need to get their act together. I wanted to smack them for their uselessness. It felt like the humans were of more use and that's pretty sad. Barrett's cowardice in the club pissed me off. I can understand where he is coming from but he didn't even try to understand what the heck Mira was doing for him until later. What has he done? It feels like nothing. I hope his clan and all the other lycans step up their game a little bit. Yes I like Danaus' and Mira's interactions but it seems like most people above me got that covered. I finished this at 1 am last night so I will retreat for now.

It's not just the physical weakness, but the mental weakness. He seems like a weak male to me. He feels weak in his mind as well, and I don't see him trying to overcome that. I guess he's like an abused child and still sees himself that way. I'm waiting for him to take control of his own life.

I was pleased when she her true self came out. Very excellent. I still haven't read the unbound story - I must see what KNOX is all about. heh

Mira just needs to give Tristan the beat down of his life. (tough love in a way) Mira was probably weak too after her ordeal with the naturi but we haven't seen that part of her past yet. At least Tristan isn't a pet anymore. One step at a time. If he lives through this and gets old as Mira maybe he can have his own book. Lol

I thought Cynnia was great - and I loved her plan, when we finally got to see it at the end. I can't wait for more of her in the next book - it's obvious we haven't seen the end of her. I'm also curious about whether she'll be with Mira or against her in future books. At the moment, they have similar goals, but I'm interested in where Cynnia ends up.
