Be careful if you open this. You may find out something you didn't want to know yet.
So, Sadira is one of my favorite characters to hate. She manipulates Mira, tries to control her, both physically and mentally. She's like the evil stepmother from lore.
So the question become: should she have died in Dayhunter? I'll admit that when I wrote the scene, I had two outcomes planned out. It was only at the last minute that I chose the one I did. What do you think?
And considering that she did live, do you think that she should succeed in luring Mira back to her side?

honestly i wish she should have died, but for the story itself it's good she didn't cause it's one more way for mira to get herself in trouble later on.....not like she needs much help mind u

so I've been thinking on this for a while now and I honestly think it might be better for Mira to not have killed Sadira. It was very much a power play on her part and very nicely done at that. Besides, there's that whole, a fate worse than death thing going on there. It cannot be comfortable to be burned to a crisp and then made to live and heal it all. Killing Sadira, while it would have been a quick and easy out, for both of them, is not what Sadira deserves (she deserves much worse, repetitively) and I don't think that Mira would have wanted to live with taking such an easy way out of the problem of Sadira. She likes standing on her own, and she doesn't really seem to like to use her power over fire a whole lot, preferring when she's in a fight, to use her own two hands and only resorting to fire when she has to, like a dagger kept in the waist band of her pants. *shrugs* at least, that's what I've gotten from her.
Mira is strong and Sadira is weak. It might make Mira's life immediately easier to go back to Sadira (though, I don't know now that Sadira's been a crispy critter), but it won't be worth it in the long run, and Mira knows that.

I've got very much a love/hate relationship with Sadira. I think I originally wrote the scene both ways and decided after much intense thought and planning how it would end up.

I'm glad Mira didn't kill her because she would have resented herself if she had, and Tristan isn't really ready for that yet i think. But seriously i wouldn't blame her if she had, Sadira is just evil! when i read about her i just wanna punch her . I'm sure she'll be back and Mira will have to deal with her. I don't think she can redempt herself , i don't see anything good left in her... maybe i'm wrong maybe she can change. As much i am hate her , she is really interesting in her own ways and i wanna read more

I like Sadira. Been far too long since seen or read of vampire that wasn't romatic and making teenager go crazy.

I like Sadira. Been far too long since seen or read of vampire that wasn't romatic and making teenager go crazy. I agree! I am so happy Jocelynn Drake has one of those old fashioned sensual evil and vile vampire stories. Twightlight is . . . okay, but is far too much vanilla for me. Oh, and Mira would SO blow Edward away! I finished "Dayhunter" last week. It was good, but I enjoyed Nightwalker a lot more. Dayhunter was extremely awesome up until the scene with Rowe's first encounter---that scene was awesome, but after that it all seemed to drag for me. It was good, not saying it was bad, just . . . draggy. I also wish that the Naturi would not get their butt kicked every single time they battle, or at least lose every single conflict. I cannot get myself into fearing them as I read the story, since Dayhunter. The Vamps are much more frightening. Normally, I enjoy it when the advesary has the darker more destructive and powerful side, but the Naturi just remind me of liitle devious teenage ghouls trying to destroy the world and Mira just blows them away every time. She may get hurt, (and if she does it is usually against a wide number of enemies rather than one mighty one), but she always wins. That's how I felt about Dayhunter. It was good, ESPECIALLY the part when Mira stormed in to save poor Tristan. But I liked Nightwalker much better, that remains one of my favorite stories so far.
