Why didn't someone remind me that the next X-Men movie is coming out this weekend?!?!?
I've now got a prize for myself. You see, the latest and last edits for Dawnbreaker just landed on my desk. If I can get most of them done this weekend, I can go bask in the loveliness that is Hugh Jackman. Is anyone else planning to go bask? Or at least revel in the violence?

OMG ... ended up hitting a midnight showing last night with a friend ... so freaking awesome ... there was a lot of stuff going on and it went through time really fast, so you only get some characters for a little while and you want them for more and there was a little too much CG that you could tell was CG, but on a whole, it was so freaking awesome, I didn't really care about those things.

That's freaking cool. I've been hearing that the reviews aren't so great, but that's not going to stop me from going to see the show. However, I've got to get some editing done first. ugh.
Too many really awesome movies coming out this summer. I'm going to be so broke.

LOVED the X-Men movie. Loved me some Gambit. He has always been one of my favorite characters and it was so cool to FINALLY see him on screen. Developed the start of a migraine during the last 30 minutes of movie, but I didn't care. It was awesomeness! CG was a little on the heavy side, but it was still good fun.
My brother has since started rewatching the old ones. Caught the end of X-Men 2 and still teared up a little.

I'd been on an X-men kick lately too, only to discover that we don't have the second one *gasp*. ended up getting my hands on it, and then had to laugh at myself cause I'd never noticed when Mystique breaks into Ryker's office to steal computer files, you see a list of files, including one for Remy Labou? ... Labeau? ... oh, however you spell Gambit's last name. *laughs* anyway, it amused me. Gonna have to watch it again and see if I can pause it and see who else I can see on screen.

Just talked to a co-worker today and discovered that the movie was nothing like what was written in the X-MEN Origins books. What the heck? I hate when they go changing stuff from the books. Books are law, don't people know that?
Well, I'm glad that I didn't read the book before I watch the movie or I would have been seriously pissed.
Of course, I think I still liked the movie. Lots of good violence. And Gambit. Great to finally see Gambit.
Any other X-Men fans out there? Who's your favorite(s)?

I absolutely adore Gambit ... He has always been my fave since I first saw the comics and cartoons when I was a little kid.
