From the beginning I could sense that something was bound to happen between them, whether it be a friendship, worthy opponents, or lovers. I have my own suspicions and wants to where they would lead to. Their bond has grown, whether Mira wants to admit it or not. She insists that she doesn't trust him, but I believe she should, and one day will. Reading from the excerpt from Dayhunter, one can see a little bit of this beautiful transformation, "Thoughts of Danaus brought a faint smile to my lips as I pushed off the wall and opened my eyes." I was just wondering where you guys think this is going to go.

I love their complicated relationship. I like that they were forced to work together, distrust one another but under it all they both respect each other. If it grows into a "romance" I trust it won't be the boring sappy romances of other books. I like the push/pull/complication of them together.
Seriously can't wait for the next book. Woot!

I really would love to see them end up together. I don't know if they would lose that love hate relationship though which really does make them.

I think some of the really awesome fun between them is the tension and if they did have sex, they'd just get really awkward around each other, and then it'd just be annoying. or they'd have sex and when they were done, they'd do the 'that-did-NOT-just-happen' thing and go back to trying to kill each other, which might be kinda fun.
but I'm more than willing to sit back and watch the story unfold and see where Joce takes us. that's always the most fun of all.

I too see them getting together in some way. It would only be natural. But there's a scene in Dayhunter, with the werewolf and Mira, that just killed me. I did NOT want that to happen and you KNOW Danaus knew about it and it must have hurt him if even the just the slightest. Hopefully we'll see more of their blossoming relationship in Dawnbreaker.

Keep in mind that by the close of Dayhunter, Mira and Danaus have known each other for less than two weeks. We can't have things develop between them too fast if anything is going to happen at all.
Danaus is more than 1,800 years old. He HATES nightwalkers. That's a lot for Mira to overcome if she's supposed to form some kind of relationship with Danaus.
Besides, I'm not going to deny Mira a little fun if Danaus is going to be a stick in the mud.
;D

I think that if Mira and Danaus rush their relationship then it will lead to disaster. They are both pig headed, Strong and Independent. Learning to lean on each other is hard enough for them, to add giving themselves over to each other in an intimate sense would mean that they werent in control anymore. You cant have intamacy and control at the same time. Between their powers and stubborness it would all equal disaster is rushed to quickly.

I dont think I could take the series ending without them getting together. Of course it will always be amusing to watch them fight, but that doesnt mean that they cant learn about each other. Both of them are not bad people at all, they just grew up on different grounds, differnt lifestyles.

Can I name my current favorite Angry Rival Wall Sex Scene? Has to be Kresley Cole's "The Warlord wants Forever" - Myst and Wroth. hmmmmm....I might have to go back and read it. It's a short story in the anthology Playing Easy to Get.
I am all for some Angry Wall Sex w/ Mira and Danaus. Awesome.

I may just have to start up an "angry wall sex" thread for us to post our favorites. it'd be so much fun.
but oh yes ... Mira and Danaus have such wonderful chemistry together ... if they'd ever get into the sack anytime soon, it'd be rival wall sex and it'd be wonderful.

I see them at the end of the series ending up in a Mulder and Scully relationship from X-Files right before the FIRST movie. Mira and Danaus will try to fight off whoever is trying to destroy their world, whether that be the naturai or the nightwalkers trying to speed up the awakening. They will be partners for a very long time. After maybe a 100 years they could go steady. Itotally didn't realize that only 2 weeks had passed. Unless all those blows to the head did some brain damage (can vampires get brain damage???) their habits won't change anytime soon. Let them get that friendship started.

The pace picks up a little between Mira and Danaus in PRAY FOR DAWN and WAIT FOR DUSK as they had a little time apart to think and a slight break from the constant naturi hunting. Time to think is always little dangerous.

Ooh, vague Dangerous thinking like, 'Oh, I do miss that person...' or more, 'Oh my God, what was I thinking?' With those two it could fall either way ;D
