So as an author, I have to admit that I always have a thousand ideas running through my brain. The hard part is always choosing which of those ideas will be molded into a book. Many of those ideas never hit the page.

Since the board has been quiet, I thought I would try to stir the pot a little to see if I could get some action.

[DISCLAIMER: From this point on, this is all idle speculation and wild imagination. None of what follows is guaranteed to appear in a book at any time.]

The Dark Days series has a lot of great characters in it, from my point of view, and I wish I could have spent more time with them and given them their own books.

Let's imagine that I could but instead of writing urban fantasy, we change the genre to paranormal romance (the general difference being that the romance is the core of the plot in a paranormal romance vs. a larger problem for the urban fantasy plot as the romance takes a smaller role)

Who would you like to see of the characters in the Dark Days series in a paranormal romance? Is there someone already in existence you would like to see them paired with?

To get the ball rolling, one character that has never felt at home is Nicolai. I am dying to give him is own story and romance. Unfortunately, I don't think he's met his mate yet.

I like James a lot. James is now displaced from what he knew and needs a new home. Maybe he could find someone in Savannah so he and Danaus can still work together. Now with his were side stiring things up, would he fall for a human, a were or a witch? Can't think of anyone in particular i would pair him with. The only two females that come to mind are the bubbly witch Shelly and Cynnia. hrm. Maybe not a good pairing with either of them.

Valerio. Could have a lot of fun with valerio. . . exotic, deadly, a little on the psychotic side. What's not to love? I would enjoy a story about him for sure. He needs someone badass like himself and mira to keep up with him, though. Does Mira have a sister? lol

I would read about Ryan too, if nothing else but to see what goes on in that sinister head of his. Would love a woman to come around and knock him for a loop and get the better of him. He needs taken down a notch or two. . . I guess I would read about any of the characters. They all have potential. I just have such a soft spot for Mira and Danaus.

I kinda like the idea of a paranormal romance with Nikolai. Maybe to make things easier with Barrett, he could get together with one of Barrett's sisters. We know that Barrett has lost most of his brothers, so maybe they could work something out if Nikolai became an in-law of Barrett. It could happen....

A book on his past romance with Mira will be nice..
NO NEW GIRLS... he belongs to Mira..

Another one I can think of will be Knox.. someone give him his own story please?

KNOX!!!!! ahem ... I would love a story with Knox, as he has been my favorite randomly and rarely seen character since the beginning of the books. As for who he'd be with, I don't think it's anyone WE'VE met, but I think he does have a special someone out there for him.

Nicolai would be great as a spin off. I think I wrote it somewhere (dizzy i know haha), but why not have Nic start up a pack in Budapest. Its Mira's 2nd domain and as there is no pack and Nic's a repressed Alpha, why not? Potential?

oooohhhh... now that James is changing, he could be still part of Themis and join a pack, perhaps Nic's??

It'd be interesting to have different look into another vampire structure. Japan's for instance. It was mentioned briefly when the new human guard arrived to protect Mira. Motives could be hidden, intrigue........ just a thought.

Ryan would also be interesting, seeing as he's a big dog and the go to guy in the magic world.

Nicolai and James would be both good. Maybe Stephan? There's not been much about him in the books, so plenty to tell there. Cynnia or Nyx would be good also because there's not been much on the naturi daily life either. Valerio before Mira would be excellent. How did he get to be such the romeo?
