It's been more than a little quiet on the board recently so I thought I would stir up a little trouble.
I was lucky enough to see the latest Harry Potter movie during opening weekend and it was pretty darn awesome. Now it's not my favorite of the series, but it was great.
How many people cried?
What was your favorite part?
Out of the entire series, which is your favorite MOVIE?
What is your favorite book?

I haven't seen the movie yet. I think the last one was that bad, it kind of made me wary... but after mostly good reviews from others, I'll probably give it a try soon I don't have a favourite book... I see the series as a whole... there are parts I enjoy and parts I could have done without. What I probably like the least is the epilogue. *sighs* It feels flat and uninspired in comparison to the rest of the series, but that might just be me. I always quite enjoyed Loony, ehem, Luna Lovegood. She's just so enjoyably loony hehe

Cheesebk, I know what you mean about the epilogue. To me, it felt like a real let-down, especially after so much action. I just can't imagine that their lives are all so ORDINARY now!
However, did anyone else hear the rumor that J.K. Rowling is considering a re-visit to the wizarding world? I heard somewhere that her new project isn't progressing like she had hoped it would and has said that she has an idea for a couple new books in Harry's world. I know I'd love to read me some more Harry Potter!

susan,
hehe... I kinda thought they day would come when she considers writing more stories set in Harry's world. It has proven to be very succesful, right? My guess is, that if she writes more set in the wizard world, it will come out shortly after the last HP movie. I could totally see that. *nods*
Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to reading short stories from the youth of the people we know from HP. Snape/Lilly/James/Sirius and so on when they were kids. Dumbledore! Or a few of Mad-Eye Moody's adventures.... *nods*

Whoo-hoo! We have less than 14 days until the movie is out. I now have a party I have to go to that day, but I'm going to see the movie in the early afternoon and then probably again that night.

I started watching them a while ago and I needed to start at it again. I can't do it all in one sitting. I was trying to break it up over several weekends, but I got busy. I will have to try again.

Harry Potter is my obsession. No joke. I am on staff/attending LeakyCon, a gigantic Harry Potter conference that is in Orlando, and the conference is scheduled around the final movie. I AM SO EXCITED!!

I have just added a Harry Potter movie countdown widget to my blog I'm now so obsessed! I would be quite happy if the world ended just after I saw the movie.
I've already decided that I'm taking a box of tissues. I mean, I'm already starting to cry at the trailers. I'm going to be a mess at the theaters.
