I am actually just getting around to watching the Twlight series since I know I will never read it. I just feel like I should at least be aware of the movement and not making judgments based on things I hear about it. I can certainly understand why it is so popular since it is such a sweet romance, but it isn't my cup of tea. I like my stories gritty and dirty with a touch of betrayal. I also adore strong, smart ass female leads. It's my weakness.
Underworld, Interview w/ Vampire, Daybreakers, Let Me In are current favorites, but I'm always looking for new vamp movies.

Oddly enough, currently watching Underworld (literally), but I have to add Vampire Hunter D to your list of awesome.
and yea, twilight just makes me laugh.
I'm trying to think of any other good vampire movies, but there are just so few really good ones. I do like Night Watch for overall supernatural stuff and there are some vampires in it, but I wouldn't call it a vampire movie.

Queen of the Damned is a fav of mine. The book has a different ending, but I like both for different reasons. Underworld's are awesome. I keep on thinking if the Twilight series had that edgier, darker look about it I would like the movies, but as it stands, they just seem to be......lame. Resident Evil has a vampire/zombie feel about it. Lots of action.

Queen of the Damned was pretty decent for a vampire film. Of course, it held nothing to the book. This is my thoughts exactly. Growing up with my mom I knew this story by heart so it was ok. Had so much fun catching all the vampires that were there but not named. Underworld was one of the better ones. I LOVE Lost Boys. I honestly have yet to see a vampire movie that leaves me completely satisfied. I might be slightly picky. I grew up on vampire books so I am a bit of a nut when watching movies about vampires.

That gets me thinking, I haven't seen a new vampire movie in a while.
(Yes, I've finally gotten around to seeing the Twilight movies, mostly because I knew I would never read the books. They're pretty much as I expected. I can see their appeal, but they're just not my kind of thing.)
I'm looking forward to the new Underworld movie, but that's so far away. I need to go pick up a copy of LET ME IN. It was good.

I forgot about Lost Boys! Was so good for the time. I can't bring myself to watch it again though, worried that it would take away my original opinion. Have watched old movies that I sooooooo loved at the time and watched them more recently and regretted it.
