Just to be clear that was not my intent of the word "plagiarize" to mean steal.
Just that It was done many many times over like the Masked Knife wielding Slasher Films.
That we keep seeing over and over.
Again I not even certain there anther Word to cover it. But I was using to describe something that a copy of a copy of a copy of a idea. A none Original theme or idea not out and out stealing as in theft. More idea of the article and it's stereo typing really but not stealing. Though "plagiarize" is closer as I even seen Authors Joke about that Article being reborn in many forms and always sounding the same and Obligatory Girls like Vampire Article.
And I've alway found it distasteful. It not that wrong but it's implying that it's a chick thing so it becomes a chick thing. But it's a partial truth as I said the idea of Vampire are just as appealing to men and the same argument can be made for why males would like Vampires and find them sexy.
To me a Book is a book. I've read "Little Women "and found it annoying. My wife said that was becouse I was a Man,I asked her the last Time she read it she admitted she never had but had meant to but loved the movie. On the other hand I read Agatha Christie and Nancy Drew and loved it.
To me Books are Books not Male or Female oriented. I enjoy Mystery and action Romance and Gothic and Comedy. Be it modern urban fantasy or William Shakespeare(Christopher Marlowe).
But more and more I see people try to but a skirt or a pair pants on entire Category of books.
I mean what was Tarzan if not a modern Urban Fantasy of it's time? Or John Carter of Mars =) love those books. Jocelynn Drake books to me have that feel! All Action and Passion and Mystery, And faulty Humanity, Heroes who have racism Danaus and Nighwalkers and Mira and Naturi and love and seem real (how the hell can say that a Girl only thing?)
And who world Call Tarzan The Ape Man a all Girl book?
My sister the half-wit stopped her Daughter from reading Comics and fantasy D&D books felt they wear to boyish it worked. She no longer reads at all.
I know I said I was not going to comment again but I want to be clear I am not saying Jeaniene Frost was a thief. Just that the Article was a very old redone argument Obligatory Girls like Vampire Article. That I hate as that it single handedly seems to of gotten thousands of people to see books from a biased male or female book. Or more recently Anne Rice I been told is now seen as a Gays only book.
Funny No matter how often I examine my books there pages or there spines I fail to find Genitalia of any kind. I think I going to make that my quote.
