Oh Sherlock Holmes was AMAZING!!! I went to see it yesterday and i LOVED it, every minute of it. It was really worth the wait *g* And nomnomnomnonm Robert Downey Jr is just perfect! The music was really good and fitted perfectly the movie.
Oh Shutter Island looks scary! I'm not much into scary movies lol

Shutter Island is a great book. My roommate and I are really looking forward to seeing the movie!! I really like Sherlock Holmes, even though I had to see it alone because none of my friends would go with me. lol.

Hmm - I might be the only one, but I don't mind going to the movies by myself. It's so relaxing.
I saw some of the Alice in Wonderland trailer too. It looks really neat. I'm looking forward to it.
Did anyone read the Percy Jackson books? I tried reading the first book but lost interest and never went back to finish it. I think the movie looks cute though. I think it's made by the people who make Harry Potter? hmmm...

I've not read the books but I wouldn't mind seeing the movie. I think the Percy Jackson movie has the same director that did HP1.

I don't really mind seeing movies alone either, except that I don't have anyone to discuss the movie with after. oh well.
I never read the Percy Jackson books, but I might go and see it. It looks kind of interesting.
I'm really looking forward Alice In Wonderland! I love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp!! I will probably have to see that one alone too, but maybe I can drag my sister along. lol

I've read the first three PJ books and really liked them, though not quite as memorable as some other books I've read. the movie is directed by the same guy that did the first two HP movies, which a lot of people complained about cause he tried to put too much detail in, but I loved them for that so I'm really looking forward to that. plus it's got some nice big name actors (uma thurman as medusa should be interesting) and the previews look good. I'm quite stoked that I have friday off, so I'll probably be going.

I didn't get out to see The Wolfman this weekend as I planned. However, I finally got around to see my Netflix copy of 300. Yes, I'm sadly behind. It was a good movie. For Netflix, I also have The Goods with Jeremy Piven and Be Kind Rewind with Jack Black sitting in my house. I'm hoping to watch another ones of those soon.

Personally, I liked the Percy Jackson movie. Was it a little rushed, yes but it was still a fun movie. However, I would like to see an action movie involving otherworldly creatures like vampires and werewolves. I heard of the movie called Legion which is an R rated supernatural movie and wanted to see it, however, I couldnt because:
1. Looked too scary 2. There were so many things wrong with the premises of the film including a demon getting killed by one shotgun blast to the head, God losing faith in mankind (dont get me started) and the fact that they made God the villain.

azazeal ... go see Legion ... it really wasn't that scary at all (go back a page and you'll see my posts about how funny it was). there were a few jump out of your seat moments, but overall, I liked it. also, God wasn't REALLY the villain. blindly following orders was the villain.
I've seen PJ twice now and really liked it both times. I am a bit miffed that they changed so much, but I can see why they did some of it. The one thing that really ticks me off though is WHY THE FUCK WAS PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD ONE DAY BEFORE THE SUMMER SOLSTICE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? anyone with a working knowledge of Greek mythology would know that the seasons are caused by Demeter pitching a fit because Hades had stolen Persephone and while she was in the underworld she ate seeds from a pomegranate so she HAS to stay in the underworld for half the year. so now when Persephone has to leave to go to the underworld, fall starts with Demeter's angst and then you get full on winter and when Persephone comes back, Demeter is so joyful that the whole world is just bursting forth with flowers and life once more. *stops on the rant before it gets any longer*
also, saw The Wolfman yesterday ... VERY good ... I love Anthony Hopkins ... he is an amazing actor ... I think this was the first movie I've seen Benicio del Toro in, but he was really good. There were some REALLY good jump scenes (a scene where something just jumps out at the camera and makes you jump in your seat) and I loved it. makes me want to go out and netflix the original Wolfman to watch that one.

Thanks for the recommendation on Wolfman. If I'm a good girl and get my writing done, I might sneak out to see a movie. It's currently a toss up between Wolfman and Shutter Island.

I saw Shutter Island on Friday and thought it rocked. Leonardo DiCaprio is amazing!! The movie followed the book very well, which I was happy about. It has some slightly disturbing moment (as in I told my mom not to see it) but it was still really good.

Sweet. I didn't get far from my computer on Sunday so movies will have to wait for next weekend.

Oooh, I just saw 300 on Friday! It's historically inaccurate at many parts but I really enjoyed it. Gerard Butler... I've also received a recommendation from a friend to see Legion, and it def seems like my type of movie. I might actually go to the movies this weekend!

I still haven't gotten around to seeing a movie in a while. I keep getting stuck in the house or doing other things. Crap. But I SWEAR I will go see Alice in Wonderland this weekend if it kills me. (If it does kill me, sorry, that I won't be able to finish the next book)
