New music! I recently downloaded the score to Sherlock Holmes and it is steampunky goodness. Love it. It's not great for writing Mira and Danaus too, but I love to work my dayjob to it.
I also recently picked up the new Pearl Jam album, which is pretty good. Love the "Breathe" song. That song gives me an amazing center of peace.

during Nano, I discovered that putting Pandora to techno and soundtracks of the PotC/Narnia variety made for some amazing writing music ... but that could just be me

Mm, well I saw Wicked over the winter holidays in SF, and it was absolutely amazing. I have been listening to that quite often. I also just purchased the soundtracks to season one of Glee and I have been listening to some of that too.

"Glee" -- I know it's just me, but I can't get past the name so I can watch the show. It just sounds too .... happy .... to me.

Lol, it's got a bit of a surreal quality to it, but at the same time it's very realistic. "Glee" refers to the glee club, which is what the show is centered around. It is hilarious and it is such an addictive show. No scary vampires or anything, but the cheer coach is a real nasty piece of work.

heh - i can't bring myself to watch Glee myself, but my friend who is everything that is goth and darkness loves it. I still can't bring myself to watch.
I finally got to watch Sherlock Holmes last night. I was excited to hear Rocky Road to Dublin during the boxing match. My husband has introduced me to many an Irish song in our 12 years of marriage. It's kind of neat to hear one in a movie!

Here's a band to share, they are a bit obscure, but I am in love with them: We the Living. I think they are a college band, or a band that plays mostly colleges (eh, something like that). They are kind of popish, if you like pop - which I do (and dance music - *embarrassing*) That's what I have been listening to on my ipod.

As for unsigned, local music, one of my favorite bands is called Faceblind. I've seen them in concert 3 times and I'm going to see them again on Friday as they open for Marcy Playground. I'm dying for them to finish some studio time so I can finally buy some music off them. www.myspace.com/faceblindCheck out their songs. Love "End of All Things"!

So I was flipping through the channels on TV last night and caught the last twenty minutes of Another Cinderella Story. I really wish I could get my hands on a copy of the movie so i can see the entire thing. But there is one song at the end that the two stars perform together and I absolutely LOVE the song! Here is the music video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=phUU47nxgKYIf you want to watch the longer 7-8 minute version from the movie itself ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj2s6XgwFSkI need to get myself a copy of this song so I can make it my ringtone!

Taylor Swift's newest album was just released. I've been listening to "Haunted" from that album over and over again.

I've bouncing between two project almost constantly for more than a month now, tweaking and plotting, so I haven't been able to settle on a particular music that I like.
I think for one project I will be listening to a lot of Tracy Chapman, Tori Amos, and Fiona Apple.
For the other one, I find myself drifting toward Blue October for some reason. It's darker than I want, but I think it's my subconscious telling me that there's something dark about this character that I'm not ready to know about.
