Burn the Night is the sixth book in the Dark Days series and I'm doing some massive revisions to the book. This book is currently slated for release in July 2011.

I may be stirring up some trouble with opening this board so early, but I wanted to give readers a place to speculate on what will appear in the book, what you would like to see, and possibly even which characters will appear or you would like to see make an appearance.

This is your chance to let your voice be heard. The plot is pretty much set in my mind already, but you might be able to remind me of a loose end or two that needs to be tied up.

I hope Mira & Danaus get some time.. no scratch that.. have LOTS of quality time together, not just fighting.. *lol* what to do? I'm a hopeless romantic!
And I would love to read something about James as well..
And hopefully, we'll get some answer on what happened to Michael's body?
And the liege.. hmm.. so who is he?

Oooh....I can't wait for this book to come out!!!! While you're revising and finishing the book, I'm concentrating on school...... which is good 'cause it keeps my mind occupied. But I still can't keep from reading your books!!! They're just so GOOD!!! Keep it comin'....

I'd love to see more about Knox, Amanda and the situation in Savannah. It will be tough for Mira to both be on the Coven and keep control in Savannah, but it would be very hard for her to leave that city behind.

I agree MrsJ, I would love to see who the Liege is. Also, some more Mira and Danaus romance time would be awesome. I want the HEA for them . I'm pretty sure, Jocelynn, that you are giving us resolution on the whole Jabari/Mira thing as well as the war w/the naturi. Don't know if there are plans for resolution on the bori, but that would be something I'm interested in. I do hope there is a way for Mira to remain on the Coven (I know, she doesn't like that thought, but I think the Coven needs her and the vamps need her leadership...) but I don't want her to have to give up Savannah. Maybe a change in location for the Coven? Just an idea...he he. Good luck on the copy edits. I may have more speculations later .

Speculation or Hope? Not Certain which this is but I would like and expect to see Asia of her body Gard as his People clearly have business to disgus with Mira maybe about the Awaking?.

But I would Expect to see a little less Danaus.

But we seen to much of and not enough of the other guys and just People in Mira's Life. Her Dad's is the trickster, She just found out she was never a Human and possibly was worse than a Vampire. She needs more humans in her life. Are there even any left?

And Danaus dose not fit that bill. If anything Mira was a Humanizing Influence on Danaus.

And I expect us to see more Valerio as he one of those rare characters like Hanibal Lector who just take Over (referring to the fact that the good doctor Like Valerio was only Supposed to be a background character who took over With a life of there own not there personalitys)
I am also starting to wonder if Lily really dead. Nick just let her die. But she was a Weakness he could used an Opportunity to be Exploited. And Nick is the Tricker and it would fit Legend if Lily was still alive. Her death a Trick.
Leaving Mira between Wanting to Thank Her Father and love him And Kill his Azz. And be he Loki Coyote or the Devil he's got to know she want's to kill him and will betray him at first opportunity Unless he dose some think to get on her good side other than threaten to make her human and rape her. And the Classic Trickster Never stupid.

Michale is yet anther that I think Might pop up alive or undead. No Body no death is a old law of fiction.

I like Danaus but I also like Chicken curry But would not eat it every night a month solid and like the same meal every night he's starting to to get on my nerves and becoming stale and worse be the only guy and person in Mira life.
And there by become her life.
And why that sounds Romantic it's boring and stale as H@ll. It destroys his mystery to see him all the time. And Leaves out the other possibilitys for Mira Future destroying the Uncertainty of who she winds up with IF she needs to wind up with any one that is. Heck she could wind up hooking up with her Liege but not with Danaus sitting right there next to her. So he's got to go some wear for a while.

The reason Soap Operas Work is we have no idea who with who but we know it will not last and are alway going to get surprised.

Same reason so many shows get dull and canceled after the two Co-stars hook up .Remington Steel,Moonlighting, Etc Etc.
Uncertainty is the heart of a story and the prince kissing the princess is the happy ending. But Its Still THE END!

So as I am hoping that we get 6 more books I am Hoping Miro and Danaus relationship goes up in flames.

And the Naturi we need to see more of them there is a Evil Queen to burn after all. Aurora is a one dimensional Nut bag who seems dull,and not really that scary as we know what she really is.
And a Good little Princess Cynnia to crown. Cynnia smart and she scares me no idea what she's really thinking or what her real motives are.

And then theres that whole Vampire coming out party that supposed to happen The Awakening.

Speculation and Hope are a scary mix of madness.

I would love to see Mira and Danaus together and work on their relationship. It will be by no means easy for them and I really like to read about the 'make it work every day'-part of a relationship, not just the 'hot for each other and getting it on phase'. IMO, it's very hard to believably portray a relationship in progress.
So. I hope that - in the long run - Mira and Danaus really have a chance with each other, but I can understand how you wouldn't make it too easy for them

I do remember reading something about a 'Scene alone in the woods with Mira and Danaus' on your livejournal. Or am I mistaken? I think you probably also mentioned that it's not sure if the scene will make it in the book... but hey, hope springs eternal

OHHHH!!!!! I want to see more of everybody!!!! Especially The Liege! And Definately Valerio and Rowe!!!! I love those two so much, they are two of my favorite characters!!!!!

I would actually like to see Rowe and Mira work together again. I believer they are slowly forming an understanding or respect for one another. I all so agree, about making Mira and Danaus's relationship alittle more rocky. I mean I love then together, but part of the thrill is it anticipation of it working. Maybe if some situation caused Danous to become jealous of Valerio, since there is a past there, or maybe a spel or mind trick that causes one of them to forget their love for the other. Just a couple of possibilities. But i'm sure what ever you come up with will be great. Oh, or maybe when her dad Nick mentioned his other offspring, could possible Mira's daughter still be alive hidden somewhere, I mean, Nick is a god, couldnt he have saved her just in case Mira didnt work out. And it was so heart breaking when Lily dies. It would also give Nick something to hold over Mira.
Another thing I would like to see is if Elizabeth became a stronger charecter, and her, Mira and Stephen all go against Jabara, or maybe kill her off and give Valerio her spot. Mira would definately have the upper hand on coven then. But like I said I'm sure what ever you write is gonna be great, and I cant wait to read it!!!!

ooooH I like your ideas tnix!!! But I keep wondering if Lily really dies. Nick by any other Name is a Lying Trickster Just the same and Showing up with the Girl Alive and well could be a Great way to get in to his Daughter Good Graces. I Started Wondering I Why the Bori was so interested in Lily? He acted as if the Girl had something really special power wise? Not just like her Aura power was common Psychic every day Power. It's the most common reported. No the Bori acted like it was very special and dangerous and he wanted it or to destroy it. So say she was part Bori or some thing? Maybe a little god blood? Mira a Demigod so maybe that why she bonded so fast (could this been her Great Great Great Grand Child that she instinctively sensed?)? But if not the still seemed like the was something the Bori Was REALLY INTERESTED IN that girl.Maybe he kills her becouse he feared her. So would Nick Really just Let The BORI he clearly hates have it's way?
And could Lily intrest him the same way it interested the Bori? If for no other reason than the Bori wanted her then killed her when he could not have her.

So what did her death accomplish for Nick who was disguised presumably for the Bori sake?
(As he drops the disguise after it's gone. And he no longer bothers.)

It Convinced the Bori and Every one that Lily was dead. They saw her Die.
I think shes alive for no other reason than Nick's Curiosity.

In legend Loci, The Tricksters, Nick's Curiosity was as legendary as his cunning.
And the possibility's of use she might have as a weapon and hostage and One Heck of a Carrot after using so much stick on Mira.To use Against well everyone.
Sorry Nick would be stupid to let her really die.
She Just so damned Useful. But it would only work if everyone thought she was dead for now and no one was looking or fighting to get her back.

So I think Lily lives and Nick's got her as the worlds Biggest Ace up his crafty sleeve.

What if an evil necromancer shows up in Mira's territory who is raising the dead, controlling them; ready to expose the supernatural world to humans, creating chaos and she has Micheal in tow? Elizabeth and Ryan have decided to work together, making things even more difficult at the coven, enhancing Elizabeth's powers. Also, once Mira stole Jabari's powers he realizes Mira's parentage, therefore Jabari summons Nick to make a deal with him to defeat his daughter, but Nick does tell Mira to obtain more power, so he can fully come back to earth, he gifts her with cloaking herself, but Nick has no idea, she'd rather die than make a deal with the devil himself, since she already has a stain.

He is the trickster, while Mira has to find all of his children (since he mentioned he had others, still alive), and they have to combine their powers to both defeat Jabari and Nick. In the meantime, Mira also has to hunt down the vacant Liege so he can take control of the coven.has to make a choice who is the lesser of two evils, Rowe or Cynnia and does Cynnia have the powers to defeat her sister Aurora, and does she really want to keep peace as she says? Or does she have some evil plot of her own?

Mira is still aching from the loss of Tristan and Lilly, when Lilly appears, apparently she's half angel and how she can see auras, and heal; but her powers are just coming in to her. Can Mira face all of these problems and the people that depend on her to save her town, the people she loves without crumbling herself, and is Lilly the salvation that will save her?

I know I'm a little late in this but this is what I'd like to see more of.

~ More background on Mira and her human life - especially about her daughter.

~ Mira and Danaus relationship evolve

~ Valerio - I like him and his incredible fashion sense. I love that him and Mira have a past together.

~ Lily - I know this is asking way too much and not possible but I really liked her - a way for her to come back in some form or another
