Nightwalker was from Mira's point of view (POV) and Dayhunter is going to be from Mira's POV as well. However, I'm trying to build the Dark Days Series as a deep and rich world that would allow me to tell a story or two from someone else's POV.
So, I've got to know, is there anyone else in the series that you would like to be the main storyteller for a book? If so, any particular reason why?

Danaus ... I want to get in his head, though I believe I read somewhere that he wasn't very chatty and that's why you had to get in touch with Mira. Unless, maybe after a few books (if he's still around at all anymore) he's loosened up a bit and maybe feeling more chatty.

I would have to agree Danaus POV would be great! I would love to read his take on things, how he formulates his ideas and whatnot.

Danaus, huh? I'll see what I can do. That man doesn't like to talk to me. I've never had such a tight-lipped character before.
Maybe I just need to get him drunk first....

*falls over laughing at the mere idea of a drunk Danaus* oh ... that would be beautiful ... torture obviously wouldn't work on him ... he's not the type. ... and I doubt he's the type to be chatty with the pillow talk after sex. so drunk it is.

maybe if you got him drunk, then gave him sex so he'd loosen up, but not drunk enough that he couldn't get it up, cause rum dick is the best way to get a guy to clam up, and then maybe give him more alcohol after the sex, cause seriously, he's uptight enough, you'd probably have to get him drunk just to take his clothes off. so after drunk, sex, and more drunk, then you might be able to get him to say something ... maybe ... probably not. it's worth a try. preferably in print *grins*

Danus might be a good fall back guy in times where Mira is not there. To me it seems like he's a guy that would talk a lot in his head but not express it vocally. It's like he's always calculating or analyzing something.

Okay, so what I'm hearing is that I need to write a book in which Danaus gets drunk and laid, but not necessarily in that order?
I'll see what I can do.

it'd be amusing, if not informative.

I agree. Danaus. I would love to see maybe just a brief chapter of what he's thinking during the book. That would be fun. And getting him drunk and laid would be AWESOME! Preferably laid w/ Mira.

Yes, the pressure is mounting about the readers that I finally get Mira and Danaus together.
Sigh.
What if they're not supposed to be together? What if Danaus truly cannot get over his hatred of nightwalkers? He's trying. He feels a connection to Mira, but he's also three times her age. He's got so many years of negative experiences with nightwalkers to overcome.
I can't make any promises. Danaus has to be true to who Danaus is.

yea ... that's why I'm not so certain we'll ever see him get laid. cause he'd most likely want to be with a human, since that's what he thinks he is, but I'm sure he's got some hang ups about that because he is so old, so he has to know he's not strictly human ... either that, or he believes that denial is just a river in Egypt. but with as serious a hate on as he's got for Nightwalkers in general, even getting to spend time with Mira and learning that they're not all just blood thirsty monsters might not be enough for him. who knows though, maybe he'll start to see Mira as more of a person and less of what species she is. but I doubt she'd ever really let him forget.
that's why, while it'd be fun, I'm not overly clamoring for it. if it happens, AWESOME!!!!

the only problem i see is that the only 2 characters you see in alot of the books is jabari and rowe and those would be a little too informative on what you are tryin to keep hidden and in suspense other than the 2 main characters.
would be kinda hard to have rowes take on what he's tryin to do when the whole point of the books are to stop it. also jabari is the puppet master so you wouldn't want to show what he's thinking before it happens.
to me unless a totally new character comes into the picture and uses their pov then danaus is really your only other person the readers feel a connection to. the only other pov i'd like to see is tristans pov from the entertainment from dayhunter as in explanation of it. just a personal opinion myself though.
